The Flavors of Istanbul

Jessica and I jetted off to Istanbul for a long weekend. The boys were in Basel with my parents.

A trip to the centuries-old spice market yielded the traditional black tea — super hot and with a cube of sugar — shared with the spice stall proprietor, and the purchase of super strong Istanbul-blend black pepper, paprika and apple tea to kick things up back in Switzerland.
